8.28.15 We are excited to announce that Charlie’s adoption was finalized yesterday and he went home with his family. About eight weeks ago, he was found in pretty bad shape in an area that is known for abandoned dogs. Thankfully, he found hope and he has many angels looking after him; the angel who found him as a neglected and malnourished stray; the angel who provided him a loving foster home and gave him time to get well; the team of angels who gave him wonderful veterinary care; and now, the angels who adopted him and are now his forever family. Charlie is another example of Victory Over Adversity!

We finalized Charlie’s adoption over the weekend and we are thrilled to welcome him to our home. The adoption process was brilliant. Nika takes great care to ensure their dogs and the potential adopting family are compatible. Tressa brought Charlie to a park in Camarillo for us to meet him. As the adopter, my wife and I needed to be certain that Charlie gets along with small children (our two daughters are 4 and 7) and our dog, Allie (a four-year-old poodle mix). We all fell in love with him at the first meeting. Another few days passed and Tressa brought him to our home. She cared to see that our home was safe for Charlie and that we all felt totally comfortable together. We said goodbye to him after a nice long visit. He returned to us forever a few days later after his vaccinations were finalized.
He is a really sweet little guy that had a miserable start to life. We are overjoyed to give him a safe and happy home with plenty of love. Our two daughters absolutely adore him and his new sister, Allie, and he are getting along like old pals already.
We feel so fortunate to have found Charlie. Thank you, Nika!
